Fight Against Flame Retardants

Flame retardant chemicals are found in products we use everyday: toys, furniture, and fabrics. They accumulate in our bodies and have been linked to harmful health effects. And they release cancer-causing chemicals when they burn, endangering fire fighter health.

To make matters worse, chemical flame retardants are not needed nor effective at reducing harm from fires.

Your state legislators are considering banning toxic flame retardants from children's products and furniture. Make sure they know where you stand: we must protect our families and fire fighters from exposure to these dangerous chemicals.

Tell your state legislators: Ban toxic flame retardants!
